Why buy a house now? Today’s Housing Market is referred to as a “Buyers Market”. A “Buyers Market” is created when demand is less than supply; in other wards there is an overabundance of houses. Another reason to buy is Record Low Interest Rates!

According to the Central Pennsylvania Multi-list, the current active number of listings on the market is more than previous years. As of today there are 5,466 homes on the market! Working at Lawyers Realty really opened my eyes to the advantages of working with a Realtor. The expense of a Realtor sometimes over shadows the great benefits that come with having one by your side. Therefore, I wanted to write today to stress the importance of a Realtor and describe a couple of the benefits that they offer.

Realtors are there by your side from start to finish. Below are just a couple great reasons why Realtors make the process of buying and selling a lot easier.

1.Navigate a complicated process: There is a great deal of paper work from deeds to disclosure forms that occur during the process. A Realtor will make sure you understand all of the paperwork, as well as give you the peace of mind that it was prepared correctly.

2.Information and opinions: The knowledge that is provided by a Realtor to help guide you through a transaction becomes very beneficial and allows for a smooth and more successful transaction. Generation XY

Generations X and Y have been brought up during the age of TV, X Box, texting, and Facebook. As a result of technology, the world has been transforming to keep up with the ever shifting changes. Generation X and Y have both been the back bone of these technological changes. I have been working at the real estate office of Lawyers Realty now for about a month. During my time, I have been asking myself are Realtors doing anything differently to capture the XY generation?

Generation X is born between 1965 and 1980. They were brought up watching TV and were the first to witness the personal computer. Generation Y or otherwise known as the “millennia’s,” has the world at there finger tips where quick access to information is a click away, and computer and cell phones provide a new degree of separation.

So how do we deal with the population that is under the age of 45 who are more apt to pick up the phone and text, than to make a phone call? To answer some of my curiosities, I spoke with two of our Real Estate Agents that have been in the business for quite some time about the new generations. Mary Sill, when posed the question, “what are you doing to capture the XY generation?” responded, “I live off of my referral’s but by the end of the year I am looking to get texting, Linkdon and Facebook” John Andrews responded similarly, but is a little ahead in the social media world stating “I am at least making an attempt to use the current social medias, Facebook and blogging.”

Mary Sill and John Andrews notice the importance to adapt and change with the new wave of the Y generation making it’s way into the home market. Although both Mary Sill and John Andrews have a great referral business, they still realizes the importance that the social media movement has to offer and the connections that are to be made by using them as a form of business.

I guess what these generations are showing us is the importance’s of staying interconnected. Although this may mean losing some face to face interaction, having quick response time and the sensation of always being available will soon prove to be more important.

I figure, since I am going to be using Lawyers Realty as the source of my information that I better introduce the company. Lemoyne Pennsylvania is the home of Lawyers Realty. Lawyers Realty was founded four years ago by experienced Real Estate Attorneys to give consumers protection and peace of mind. They determined that many problems that their clients encountered in real estate transactions could have been avoided if qualified counsel had been working with the real estate agent before the contract was negotiated. Thus, they created a better way to sell and buy real estate. Lawyers Realty provides knowledge of a Realtor and a Real Estate Attorney who work together in order to protect the client.
