TODAY is a Great Day to Look for a New Home!

Why buy a house now? Today’s Housing Market is referred to as a “Buyers Market”. A “Buyers Market” is created when demand is less than supply; in other wards there is an overabundance of houses. Another reason to buy is Record Low Interest Rates!

Large Inventory:
According to the Central Pennsylvania Multi-list, the current active number of listings on the market is more than previous years. As of today there are 5,466 homes on the market! Having an over abundance can make for an ideal situation for home buyers. Instead of 3 or 4 homes that fit all of the criteria of a buyer, we are seeing 8, 9 or even 10 houses that could potentially be a buyer’s next home. What a selection. Having a selection of houses allows the buyer to feel like they are not settling. There are many chances to put your Realtor to work showing house after house till the one that feels like “home” is found.

Interest Rates Are Low:
The current interest rates are at an all time low. Do you know how much this will save over a 30 year amortization?! On a $150,00 mortgage that could be a savings of approximately $42,000.

I Challenge You to take advantage of this great opportunity and go out into Harrisburg, Camp Hill, Mechanicsburg, New Cumberland or wherever your dream home or investment property may be and use this market to your advantage.

The Benefits of a Realtor

Working at Lawyers Realty really opened my eyes to the advantages of working with a Realtor. The expense of a Realtor sometimes over shadows the great benefits that come with having one by your side. Therefore, I wanted to write today to stress the importance of a Realtor and describe a couple of the benefits that they offer.

Realtors are there by your side from start to finish. Below are just a couple great reasons why Realtors make the process of buying and selling a lot easier.

1.Navigate a complicated process: There is a great deal of paper work from deeds to disclosure forms that occur during the process. A Realtor will make sure you understand all of the paperwork, as well as give you the peace of mind that it was prepared correctly.

2.Information and opinions: The knowledge that is provided by a Realtor to help guide you through a transaction becomes very beneficial and allows for a smooth and more successful transaction. An experienced Realtor will know helpful information about zoning, a properties potential resale value, and if the environment and location will meet your needs. Information such as this will help make the whole transaction flow smoother and will help re-assure you that this is the property for you.

3.Negotiating Skills: During the real estate transaction there are numerous times where a Realtor will have to negotiate terms for their buyer or seller. Typically people only think of negotiating price, but there are also other terms such as date of possession, inclusion or exclusion of repairs, furnishings and equipment, just to name a few. A Realtor will fight for their client to get what is fair and deserving.

As well as having a Realtor on your side, I have come to realize that also having the attorney working with the Realtor is a bonus. At Lawyers Realty, that is the Team that they offer their clients, and they don’t charge any additional fees for the attorney representation.
